Like so many couples-to-wed in 2020, Daniel and Woodi’s original wedding date was lost to a Covid reschedule. But oh boy, how it was worth the wait! When their day finally arrived over a year later- the resilient love between them shone through and stole the show- no matter how breathtaking their urban city backdrop truly was. They exchanged vows on the rooftop of The Riverview Room, a gorgeous, quintessentially New Orleans venue nestled in the east side of the French Quarter. The weather was magnificent on their perfectly warm, breezy day that certainly felt more like Spring than late Autumn (and made for some iconic veil shots!).
After a year of waiting, Daniel, Woodi, and all of their loved ones were ready to get their dancing shoes on. We celebrated and danced until long after the sun went down- and then was time for the Second Line. The Second Line is a New Orleans tradition in which the bridal party joins a brass ensemble and parades all around town, as a symbol of new beginnings. There’s lots of jazz dancing, napkins made celebratory flags, and passerbys made friends as they join in the cheering. This was truly a brilliant end to Daniel and Woodi’s long-awaited ‘Chapter 1’ as husband and wife.
